DeeDee's Story

Like a lot of college students, when DeeDee was in college- she fell madly in love! There was only one problem- that “love” turned into an unhealthy, codependent relationship that almost took her life. “It can’t happen to me” is exactly what DeeDee always thought, but after a series of tragic events, find out how she woke up in an ongoing nightmare and how she found the resolve to leave.  In her dynamic, interactive presentation, DeeDee helps students understand the difference between love and obsession; what defines a healthy vs. an unhealthy relationship; and signs that will help students identify if someone they know has been “hit by love!”

She shares her personal story of domestic violence with an uplifting and brutally honest account of her experience that will allow your students to recognize the signs of an unhealthy relationship for themselves or someone they may know and how to effectively leave the situation.

DeeDee Cooper has been entertaining audiences since she was only five years old! With a keen interest in acting and performing, she took acting and improv classes from grade school until after her college graduation. She booked numerous commercials, plays and hosting jobs.  After completing her B. S. degree in Communications, she safely pursued a job in corporate America. Upon realizing her need to perform was NOT going away, she left a good paying job to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of “stardom.” After being successful enough to join SAG and work on such shows as Grey's Anatomy, Numbers and Arrested Development, she realized there was still something missing from this “performance addicted” life—purpose!
